MALCA e.V. is an intercultural youth and cultural association with Latin American roots. The name “Malca” comes from Quechua and means “village.” It is also an acronym for Movimiento Andino Libre – Cultura y Arte, a vibrant platform for art, culture, and a sense of community.
This time, we’re presenting two traditional dances from Ecuador 🇪🇨 in the Cayambe region: Aruchicos and Aya Huma. These dances are part of Ecuadorian folklore and reflect the country’s cultural diversity.
In addition, we’ll be showcasing dances from Ecuador’s coast and the Andes, and we warmly invite everyone to discover the colors, rhythms, and traditions of this unique country.

The band enchants the audience with salsa classics in a big-band style and the cheerful atmosphere of a Caribbean rumba. Look forward to energetic horn sections in specially arranged compositions, paired with Latin American rhythms and pure joie de vivre.
The multicultural big band also presents an extensive “bandbook” featuring exclusively arranged pieces from the genres of salsa and Latin jazz, offering a varied and rousing program for an entire evening.

The essence of Colombian carnivals lives on in Europe. “Fiesta de Colores – Carnivals of Colombia” is a cultural management and exchange project that aims to bring the symbolic, musical, and aesthetic richness of the Colombian carnival to Europe and to build bridges between the festive traditions of Latin America and European cultural heritage.
The project brings together around 50 Colombian and Latin American artists living in Europe and works with representative forms of expression from the country’s major festivities. In doing so, it brings diversity, color, and a Latin American perspective to Europe’s cultural stages.
